The course Control System Engineering is a fundamental course offered to Sem-IV, B. Tech. in Electrical engineering students. The course gives exposure of modelling of the physical system, its behaviour to the various test signals and methods of analysis of the system. The course also cover the graphical methods used for analysis and design methods of control system. The Linear Time Invariant (LTI) systems and their analysis is covered. The concept of stability and its evaluation using various graphical methods and analytical criteria is covered. The major part of the course deal with classical methods of analysis and design of control system, but it is not limited to that only it also covers topic of modelling of system using state space representation and design of controller using modern control methods. The learning of the course is very useful for the students since the concepts learnt in this course are applicable to other courses of power system, power electronics, electric machines etc.
